A chest and critical care specialist, Dr. Ooi Hean, pointed out that not everyone is suitable for wearing slippers in summer due to potential dangers. Wearing slippers can lead to slipping or stumbling, especially in crowded places where there might be sharp objects on the ground. Dr. Ooi mentioned 5 types of people who should avoid wearing slippers, including overweight individuals, those with ankle or joint injuries, diabetes patients, individuals with inner ear or brain injuries, and the elderly.
