Today marks the Summer Solstice, with high pressure from the Pacific dominating and a relatively weak southern wind near Taiwan bringing partly cloudy to sunny weather across the region. The Central Weather Bureau has issued a high-temperature special report for 10 cities. Afternoon thunderstorms are expected to develop near mountainous areas, particularly in northern Taiwan. Temperatures are expected to range from 25 to 37 degrees in different regions, with precautions advised to prevent heat-related illnesses.
