Summer Solstice: Study Shows Solar Energy Can Supply 1/5 Power During Peak Hours in Northern Hemisphere

Reported about 1 year ago

On the summer solstice, the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere, a report from the clean energy think tank Ember reveals that solar energy can now supply 20% of power during peak hours, exceeding last year's 16%. Solar energy is rapidly growing, with predictions that it may become the largest power source by 2025. In Europe, solar energy generation is double the global average, with Spain leading at a potential 30%. Despite China's high solar energy generation, its contribution to the overall power supply remains at 6.2%.
