The National Freeway Bureau anticipates a 1.2 times increase in traffic during weekends from Fridays to Sundays throughout the summer vacation period. Beginning July 1, the bureau will implement traffic management measures on national highways, including high-occupancy vehicle regulations, shoulder lane openings, and ramp control, to address the anticipated influx of tourist vehicles. The bureau suggests alternative routes for various highway sections and reminds travelers to maintain vehicle maintenance due to the increased risk of breakdowns in hot weather. Additionally, drivers are advised to stay calm in case of vehicle malfunction, move to the shoulder, use emergency warning signals, and report incidents promptly to prevent accidents.
