In the early morning of June 19, 2024, Sun An-tso's manager, surnamed Zhu, was handcuffed and arrested for resisting police as they searched Sun's residence. Sun, the son of veteran artist Sun Peng, was already being investigated for carrying a homemade gas gun into a nightclub in Xinyi District, in violation of weapons regulations. During the search, police found the gas gun, a dagger, and black powder suspected to be gunpowder in Sun's room. Zhu's uncooperative behavior during the search may lead to an additional charge of obstructing official duties. Zhu has requested a review of his arrest process, but faces legal consequences for his actions.
