Taiwan Television News Network reported on June 25, 2024, that the Central Weather Bureau stated the Pacific high-pressure system has strengthened, causing hot weather nationwide, with Pingtung County issuing a red alert for temperatures possibly reaching 38 degrees Celsius. The 'Teacher Lin's Weather Station' on Facebook warned that the next two days will be exceptionally hot, advising people to minimize outdoor activities from 10 am to 3 pm, apply sunscreen, and stay hydrated. Temperatures are expected to soar to 32-37 degrees Celsius across Taiwan, with specific regions possibly hitting 37-38 degrees. They cautioned against heatstroke and issued high-temperature warnings for 12 cities and counties, including a red alert for Pingtung County, urging the public to be cautious.
