Supercell, the Helsinki-based video game developer majority-owned by China's Tencent, is aiming to attract new groups of players with its first game launch in over five years. CEO Ilkka Paananen mentioned that while their previous games like Clash of Clans have been successful, they are now focusing on creating games that appeal to a wider audience regardless of age or gender. The new game, Squad Busters, is designed with easy gameplay to draw in new players. Paananen highlighted the increasing competition for consumers' free time from various entertainment options, emphasizing the challenge of creating globally popular games in today's saturated market.
