On June 25, 2024, at 2:16 am, the Supervisory Yuan held a press conference led by Secretary-General Li Chunyi, stating that the Legislative Yuan's amendments to the 'Legislative Yuan's Exercise of Powers Act,' passed on May 28, seriously obstruct the exercise of supervisory powers, violating the principle of the division of constitutional powers. The Supervisory Yuan, being the location of the Human Rights Commission, decided to request a constitutional interpretation and temporary disposal from the Constitutional Court. Li Chunyi emphasized that the Legislative Yuan's amendments violate the separation of powers and seriously infringe on human rights.
