The Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan recently released statistics from its annual export order survey, revealing that due to factors such as the US-China trade war prompting supply chain restructuring and Taiwanese businesses expanding into new southern markets, the domestic production ratio of export orders in 2023 reached 49.1%, the highest in 11 years, while the production ratio in Mainland China and Hong Kong dropped to 37.8%, the lowest since the survey began. The ASEAN production ratio also increased to 7%, setting a new record. These changes reflect a trend towards diversification and localization in supply chain production.
