According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the latest data on May's export orders showed a significant increase in orders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, reaching $9.05 billion, a year-on-year growth of 19.7%. This growth is attributed to increased demand for information and communication technology (ICT) products, driven by global supply chain shifts. While the orders from the United States, Mainland China and Hong Kong, and ASEAN showed positive growth trends, Europe and Japan experienced negative growth. Despite ASEAN's order value being less than $10 billion, it recorded the highest annual growth rate of 19.7%, making it a beneficiary of supply chain shifts.
