The People Party in Taiwan held an event titled 'Anti-Corruption, Protecting Taiwan' at Rongxing Garden in Taipei on the evening of June 22, with chairman Ko Wen-je also present to express support for parliamentary reform. Ko Wen-je recently showed sympathy for the hardships faced by legislator Huang Kuo-chang in pushing for bills and criticized the Kuomintang's version of the Fiscal Bill as unrealistic. He urged the Democratic Progressive Party to support the People Party's version if they do not propose their own. Ko highlighted the importance of upcoming amendments to the Fiscal Allocation Act and noted the detailed explanations provided by the People Party, contrasting it with the KMT's proposal, which they deemed impractical.
