According to a recent survey by the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation, 76.8% of respondents identify as Taiwanese, 6.6% as Chinese, and 9.5% as both Taiwanese and Chinese. Analyst Yiu Ying-lung suggests that the slight increase in Taiwanese identity and decrease in dual identity and Chinese identity could be influenced by the recent 'Jensanity' effect brought by Nvidia founder Huang Jen-hsun. The survey also reveals that Taiwan identity is overwhelmingly strong across different age groups, educational levels, and ethnicities, with a clear dominance of Taiwan identity over Chinese identity in Taiwan society.
