Mastio & Co.'s recent survey, involving 1,630 interviews with LTL shippers, has recognized Daylight Transport as the top overall less-than-truckload carrier for the second consecutive year, while Old Dominion Freight Line maintains its position as the leading national carrier for the 16th year in a row. The rankings, which assessed 147 carriers based on various service metrics, highlight Averitt Express and Peninsula in the top five, with Southeastern Freight Lines slightly overtaking Dayton Freight Lines. The survey indicates a stable landscape among service ratings with Old Dominion excelling in most service categories.
