Early on June 15, 2024, a shooting incident occurred at an auto shop in Daliao, Kaohsiung, where someone fired 20 shots at the premises. The police followed the vehicle involved, tracked down the owner in Chiayi, and apprehended an accomplice in Pingtung, both claiming they were paid to commit the crime. The abandoned vehicle used in the attack was found at the Pingtung riverbank park. The suspects were detained for questioning, with authorities suspecting the presence of other accomplices and continuing the investigation.
