Two more individuals who dined at the Far Eastern Plaza Hongwu Curry in Xizhi, New Taipei, on June 18 have reported symptoms of diarrhea and subsequently sought medical attention, bringing the total to 10 cases of suspected food poisoning with 2 individuals currently hospitalized. Following two reported cases of suspected food poisoning within a year from the same establishment, the New Taipei Health Bureau has ordered the restaurant to suspend operations starting from today for improvements and submission of a report before resuming operations upon approval and passing an environmental inspection. Samples have been collected for further testing, and if confirmed, legal action will be taken under the Food Safety and Health Management Act.
