According to Liberty Times reported on June 26, 2024, a Xinhua News Agency journalist from Mainland China was suspected of monitoring Taiwanese political TV shows, which the TV station denied. A recent online poll showed that 57% of the respondents believed it was 'psychological warfare' and agreed that such baseless insinuations are most damaging. The poll conducted during the political TV program 'Big News, Big Exposés' by CTi News showed over half of the respondents, as many as 57%, thought it was 'psychological warfare, most damaging,' followed by 31% who thought it was 'strengthening anti-China sentiment,' and 10% who thought it was 'highlighting the importance of the NCC'. Over 6,000 netizens participated in the poll during the program, and even the commentators present at the event expressed low credibility of the report.
