The hockey field in Wuci district of Taichung City has been deteriorating for over 18 years, affecting players' practices due to damaged surfaces and near bare grass. Taichung City Council Chairman Zhang Qingzhao, Councilor Wu Qionghua, and Sports Bureau Director Li Yurui inspected the site with plans to invest 45 million in renovations to create an international-certified artificial turf field, aiming to provide better training facilities for the city's hockey teams and host large-scale events. The initiative was driven by concerns for player safety and the desire to cultivate top-tier athletes.
