Three temples in Miaoli were reportedly vandalized at night, with a man caught on surveillance cameras pouring symbolic water onto the incense burner at one temple, burning talismans with a sword at another, and believed to be practicing some form of destruction. The police have identified a middle-aged man with a history of vandalizing temples from other counties and will ask him to explain his actions. The unidentified liquid poured into the temples is still under investigation. Authorities remind the public to show respect to religious sites and warn of potential imprisonment for disrespecting such places.
