A 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck Tainan City at 2:18 p.m., with its epicenter located 35.1 kilometers northeast of the Tainan City Government (in Liuying District), causing slight delays for 3 Taiwan High-Speed Rail trains passing through intermediate stations. The situation has now returned to normal. The earthquake emergency response was activated, and after thorough inspections, train services resumed at regular speeds by 3:01 p.m. The highest seismic intensity was at Level 2 in Shanhua, Tainan City, and Chiayi County. Residents were reminded of earthquake safety guidelines.
