Tainan Council Members Demand Location for International Standard Swimming Pool within One Month

Reported 10 months ago

A group of cross-party council members in Tainan held a press conference to push for the establishment of an international swimming training center in the city, highlighting the lack of an international standard swimming pool in contrast to other major cities in Taiwan. With the hosting of sporting events like the National Games and the upcoming National Youth Games, Tainan has had to borrow facilities from other cities for swimming competitions, causing embarrassment and inconvenience for local swimmers. The council members are urging the city government to swiftly finalize a location and develop a clear plan and timeline for the construction of the much-needed facility.
