Tainan Rallies: Guo Guowen Criticizes Blue Camp's Intrusion, Ke Zhi'en Slams Green Party for Habitual Lies

Reported 8 months ago

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Tainan City Chairman Guo Guowen criticized the Kuomintang (KMT) for turning their Tainan rally into a propaganda event for pro-unification individuals to sign petitions, coupled with spreading rumors. Meanwhile, KMT legislator Xie Longjie stated that the rally aimed to gauge local support for anti-corruption laws in President Lai Ching-te's hometown area. DPP legislators, including Guo Guowen and others, urged citizens to stand up against the KMT's alleged deceit and the collaboration between the KMT and the People's Party to expand powers and manipulate laws. Former Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je challenged the DPP to public debates and accused them of spreading rumors and avoiding discussions. People's Party leader Huang Kuo-chang expressed readiness to organize a debate to which Ko Wen-je agreed, questioning the DPP's reluctance to engage in such debates despite constantly challenging others to do so.
