The Central Weather Bureau issued a warning for high temperatures due to the influence of southwest winds, with soczi in Taipei and Taitung flashing yellow lights for temperatures over 36 degrees Celsius. As of 2 p.m., Taipei's Shilin District saw the highest temperature of 36 degrees, followed by Taimali Township in Taitung at 35.7 degrees. The bureau advised precautions such as limiting outdoor activities, staying hydrated, and keeping cool indoors to prevent heat-related illnesses, especially for vulnerable groups.
