In a rare incident in Taipei, a Metropolitan Bus on the 299 route was stolen by unidentified individuals while the driver briefly left the bus at the Songshan bus terminal without removing the keys. Fortunately, the bus was quickly recovered in Nan-gang District after the driver reported the theft and tracked the bus's movements. This marks Taipei's first known case of a bus being stolen, and investigations are ongoing as authorities review security measures within the public transport sector.
