Taipei City Council Childcare Center Unveiling Ceremony

Reported 12 months ago

In an event on June 28, 2024, Taipei City Council unveiled its childcare center, becoming the first local council in the country to establish a workplace and home-style childcare center. Supported by Taipei City's Social Affairs Bureau, Director Yao Shu-wen attended the ceremony to offer encouragement. Taipei City Council members attended the event, including new parents and soon-to-be parents, aiming to support work-life balance. Council President Dai Xi-qin hopes the center will tackle Taiwan's declining birth rate and assist colleagues in balancing work and childcare responsibilities, setting an example as a government agency. Overcoming past challenges, efforts were made to establish the center within the council premises for a more accommodating environment, ensuring focus on serving the public without concerns about family responsibilities.
