Taipei City Council Investigation Ends on Jinghua City Case, Suggests Reporting to City Government Due to Suspicious Financial Flows

The Taipei City Council's special investigation team on the Jinghua City volumetric omission case, led by convener You Shuhui, has concluded its interviews. The team is considering reporting the case to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission or the Control Yuan, suggesting that the case be handed over to them for further investigation. The team has yet to determine the legality of the case regarding financial flows and reciprocal relationships, recommending that the city government facilitate investigations. Responsibility concerning former Mayor Ko Wen-je and former Vice Mayor Perng Chin-cheng will be addressed after the report is released. The investigation team will convene again on June 24th to discuss the initial draft report, aiming for a final version in July.
