Taipei City Councilor He Meng-hua coordinates Neihu pet shop case, City Government presents tough attitude, Urban Development Bureau: Review and submit report before 8/15

Reported 12 months ago

Taipei City Councilor He Meng-hua has been assisting a pet shop in Neihu to overcome obstacles in obtaining a business registration, which faced challenges due to the refusal of a 2nd-floor owner to sign a consent form, leading to a tragic suicide and a call for legal amendments in response. He Meng-hua has been in discussions with the city government since March this year, but the city's stance on legal amendments has been adamant. In response to the incident, He convened a coordinating meeting today (6/28), where the Urban Development Bureau promised to review the limitations on the pet grooming industry within a month and a half. He Meng-hua expressed her commitment to supporting the family and introducing relevant resources to help them through the difficulties. The incident has sparked public outrage and discussions on the need for more appropriate regulations.
