The Taipei City Government and Taiwan Intelligent Light continue to be at odds over the ongoing case, with both sides giving conflicting statements. While the city government had notified Taiwan Intelligent Light and the city police on April 8 to terminate the subcontract, the latter insists that the contract has not been terminated and claims the city government still owes them money. Taipei City Mayor Chiang Wan-an emphasized that the city government had officially issued a document to terminate the subcontract on April 8, firmly standing by their position in accordance with the law. Chiang Wan-an stressed the need to allow the authorities to investigate thoroughly and clarify the truth regarding the allegations.
