Taipei City Government has issued a real-time weather alert through its official LINE account warning Taipei residents of a high probability of heavy rainfall in the afternoon today (19). The expected hot areas for rainfall are Da'an, Xinyi, Wenshan, and Nangang districts, with rainfall of over 60 millimeters. Residents are advised to carry rain gear when going out, beware of flooding in low-lying areas, stay vigilant of weather conditions, and take preventive measures. Central Weather Bureau also forecasts that most areas in Taiwan will be cloudy to sunny, with sporadic brief rain showers in the south-central regions before noon, and localized thunderstorms in the afternoon in the northern and eastern regions. Temperatures are expected to range from 32 to 35 degrees Celsius, so precautions against sun exposure and staying hydrated are recommended.
