DPP caucus chief whip Ke Jianming was reported to have smoked in the Legislative Yuan meeting room, which could result in a fine of NT$ 2,000 to NT$ 10,000 for violating the Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act. This incident occurred after Ke was previously caught smoking in the Executive Yuan rest area. The Taipei City Health Bureau is investigating the matter based on photo and video evidence, with Ke given 7 days to respond before potential penalties are enforced.
