On June 14, 2024, in Taipei's Xinyi District, a man driving in the early hours lost control, causing a collision with 16 motorcycles on the roadside before fleeing the scene. Upon investigation, it was found that he did not have a driver's license when apprehended at his residence in Nangang, where he claimed to have not been drinking but caused the accident due to daydreaming. Although his alcohol test showed 0, he was charged for driving without a license. The police continue to investigate to clarify the detailed cause of the accident.
