A bus was stolen in Taipei City as an unknown individual drove it away while the driver was absent at the Metropolitan Transport Corporation terminal parking lot. Following the route tracked by the operator, the bus was recovered within half an hour, and authorities were alerted. The Taipei City Public Transportation Department has reminded all operators to fulfill their responsibility in safeguarding vehicle keys. The incident is currently being investigated as theft, and no fines have been imposed on the operators as it is the first such event in Taipei City.
