After decades of discussion, Taipei City's First Funeral Home finally began demolition on the 13th, with a ceremony on the 12th witnessing the removal of the 'Jingxing Hall' signboard by Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-An. The land will be temporarily converted into a parking lot and green space in the short term, with long-term plans to be evaluated by the city government after actively collecting opinions and needs from various parties. Possible future options for the site include a long-term care medical zone, commercial/residential mix, social housing, and sports center, all aimed at benefitting Taipei's long-term development.
