Taipei City's First Funeral Home to be Formally Dismantled After 60 Years, Companion 'Jingxing Hall' Sign Removed

After decades of discussions, Taipei City's First Funeral Home demolition project has been scheduled to start on the 13th. On the 12th, a ritual ceremony was held with Mayor Chiang Wan-an in attendance, witnessing the removal of the 'Jingxing Hall' sign. Mayor Chiang expressed gratitude for the facility accompanying many deceased on their final journey over the past 60 years and stated that with the completion of the demolition and transition to the second funeral home, the first one will officially retire and enter history.
