Taipei City Search and Rescue Team obtained the National Accreditation Process (NAP) Heavy Capability Certification from the Ministry of the Interior Fire Department in 2021, becoming the first heavy search and rescue team in Taiwan. With rich rescue experience in various domestic and international disasters, the team is recognized for its expertise and strength. Taipei City Search and Rescue Team also fulfills international humanitarian rescue duties assigned by the Ministry of the Interior Fire Department, serving as a crucial force in Taiwan's international disaster relief efforts. Taipei City was the primary city for international humanitarian rescue duty in July 2024, aiming to enhance team mobilization and coordination efficiency with external units for swift response to disasters. The team will continue to enhance its capabilities and collaborate closely with external agencies to promptly mobilize professional rescue personnel during domestic and international disasters, contributing to global relief efforts.
