With the recent increase in food safety incidents in Taipei, including cases involving slugs, cockroaches, and even needles found in food, Taipei's Health Bureau has decided to hire an additional 33 inspectors to address the manpower shortage and ensure food safety. This decision comes in response to the high-pressure and dynamic nature of the job, as well as the increasing demands for food safety regulation compliance. The bureau aims to fill these positions by the end of this year.
