As the number of doll catcher machine stores increases, the issue of disruptive sound effects inside the stores has been magnified, with the Taipei City Environmental Protection Bureau receiving 16 complaints by the end of May this year and a total of 53 last year. The bureau warned that if operators continue playing music and sound effects after 10 PM, disturbing residents' peace, they will face heavy fines of up to 30,000 yuan. The bureau highlighted the low barrier to entry for doll catcher machine stores, leading to establishments appearing in residential areas with round-the-clock operations, playing various sound effects and music that disturb nearby residents' nighttime rest.
