On July 3, 2024, Taipei City Health Bureau inspected the Shun Clinic in Xuejia District, which recently introduced a stroke prevention injection priced at up to 230,000 NT dollars that was reported to contain unidentified substances. After the inspection, the bureau found three violations, including failure to issue receipts for self-payment items, carrying out medical activities in unapproved areas, and incomplete documentation of medications in patient records. The clinic claimed that the treatment is based on scientific studies and clinical trials, denying the use of unapproved drugs, and stated that the substance in question, Saponin-Ock oral solution containing ginseng, complies with food regulations.
