Taipei City Councilor Lin Yen-feng revealed that the South Transfer Station project, implicated in alleged favoritism and delays, may have its deadline extended. Shin Kong Life requested the extension immediately after the controversy broke out, with the City's transportation department secretly meeting with Shin Kong to potentially sign an unequal contract prolonging the project by 246 days. This has raised concerns of misconduct and collusion. Lin criticized Mayor Chiang Wan-an for potentially turning a blind eye to discrepancies in the project and hinted at possible legal actions against the City Government and Shin Kong if irregularities are confirmed.
