Former chairman of Taipei Development Corporation, Qiu Fusheng, was unable to raise the 1.5 million bail money requested by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office, therefore, the authorities have imposed restrictions on his residency and travel, requiring electronic monitoring. Qiu Fusheng, along with five others, were summoned regarding allegations of manipulating financial reports through falsified transactions. Apart from being restricted from leaving the country and moving around freely, Qiu Fusheng is required to report his whereabouts daily via phone to the monitoring center. Other individuals involved have been granted bail ranging between 10,000 and 50,000 yuan.
