A district chief surnamed Wang in Taipei faced a recall due to neglect of duty, followed by a lawsuit filed by his wife for adultery, demanding a compensation of 1 million NTD from him and his mistress. The court ruled in favor of the wife, awarding her 200,000 NTD, which can be appealed. Wang's wife revealed he had been in a relationship with a woman operating a beauty salon, openly sharing intimate photos and ultrasound images of their child. Wang's wife suffered greatly from their actions, leading to her developing hyperthyroidism and seeking a 1 million NTD compensation. Wang defended himself, claiming they had broken up before being together, and they are currently separated. The court found Wang guilty of infringing the wife's rights and ordered him to pay compensation. The decision is appealable.
