According to a report by Sanli News Network on June 20, 2024, Taipei City Council's Kuomintang party secretary Chang Ssu-kang proposed a motion for the city government to ask the Ministry of the Interior for clarification on whether the Taipei Dome, for non-sports events like concerts, should adhere to certain building regulations. Deputy Taipei Mayor Lee Ssu-chuan mentioned that if there are no issues, the city plans to seek clarification from the ministry in early July, with hopes of hosting concerts in the second half of this year. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an expressed gratitude towards the city council for discussing the matter and emphasized the city's efforts towards hosting concerts and exhibitions at the Taipei Dome in the future, following the council's decision and respecting the ministry's stance in line with a 2017 clarification.
