Taipei City Councilor Hsu Shu-hua expressed her disappointment as the recently completed Taipei Dome started leaking during afternoon thunderstorms, describing the situation as a disgrace. The Dome faced issues with poor layout planning, trapping many people in the metro station after events. Hsu highlighted previous instances of water leaks during events, such as the Taiwan-Japan baseball exchange game, stating that such incidents are an international embarrassment. Construction company Far Glory Group acknowledged the unexpected heavy rain causing drainage issues, promising to review and improve the drainage system on the Dome's premises.
