Lin, the chairperson of FaJue Temple, along with his daughter serving as the financial manager and son as a committee member, had embezzled 45.23 million to purchase life insurance, invest in foreign currency, buy a Mercedes-Benz luxury car, and evade taxes worth millions during plot sales, leading to all three being charged with embezzlement and tax evasion. The court sentenced each of the three to 3 years and 4 months in prison, suspended for 4 years, with the possibility of appeal.
