Recently, a customer dining at a well-known barbecue restaurant in Taipei's Nangang Station found a cockroach in their ice cream red tea, causing disgust. Despite the initial discount offer, the customer was unhappy with the response. The restaurant has since apologized, contacted the customer, and pledged to improve hygiene to prevent a recurrence. Taipei's Health Bureau is also investigating the incident for food safety concerns. The restaurant has refunded the meal and temporarily closed for thorough cleaning. They expressed regret and will enhance hygiene measures to protect consumer rights.
