In Taipei's Neihu District, a worker at a branch of Hot Spring Inn died from an electric shock while performing fire equipment maintenance last January. The owner and manager were sent for prosecution but were recently not prosecuted. The worker, Zhang, accidentally touched an electrically charged appliance, causing his death. The investigation concluded that the owner and manager lacked the professional background to oversee such work, leading to the decision of insufficient evidence to hold them accountable under occupational safety laws.
