The Taipei Howard Hotel, which has turned 40 this year, held a 40th-anniversary celebration event and announced that it will be temporarily closed for renovations starting in February next year to rebrand under the Marriott International's Autograph Collection as 'The Howard Taipei, Autograph Collection.' The hotel is set to reopen in 2026 with a blend of Taiwan's cultural elements and international hotel standards, featuring oriental feng shui and folk cuisine to transform traditional architecture into a modern landmark in Taipei.
