Taipei City Councilor Hong Wan-zhen criticized the Taipei City Mayor Jiang Wan-an for proposing a policy to subsidize basic electricity charges in public markets during his campaign but now the Market Administration plans to deceive voters by replacing energy-saving equipment without mentioning cost-sharing with the government. Jiang previously promised to cover public area electricity fees but the Market Administration's current proposal of equipment change seems to contradict this, causing dissatisfaction among market vendors.
