Non-compliance within the specified period may result in fines ranging from 30,000 to 300,000 New Taiwan Dollars. Another case involved yellowtail fish at Nanmen Market testing positive for leucocrystal violet, potentially incurring fines between 60,000 and 2 million NTD. The Taipei City Health Bureau's inspection aimed to safeguard public consumption of seafood, covering a variety of products and inspecting for multiple residues, toxins, and heavy metals. The bureau also emphasized the importance of balanced seafood consumption to reduce heavy metal intake risks.
