Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an attended the national congress reform briefing in Taipei. The Legislative Yuan recently deliberated on the motion to reconsider the administrative's proposal for KMT and MPP's strong push for parliamentary reform, which was ultimately rejected by the majority of KMT and MPP MPs. Chiang addressed the meeting, criticizing the DPP for previously proposing parliamentary reform bills and now opposing the same content, labeling it as a confused mentality and a typical case of double standards. He emphasized the importance of parliamentary reform to ensure responsible execution of MPs' duties, uncover corruption, and make the legislature a true representative body for the people in effectively supervising and eliminating corruption.
