Taipei Mayor Jiang Wan-an Cites Reception Standards in Three U.S. Cities When Talking About Shanghai Deputy Mayor Gong as “Number Two” of the City

According to CTnews in Taipei, the Deputy Mayor of the Mainland Affairs Council, Liang Wen-jie, mentioned that Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng, dubbed the “number two” of Shanghai, might attend the upcoming dual-city forum in Taipei, reflecting cross-strait relations. Taipei Mayor Jiang Wan-an highlighted the reception standards received by Gong during his recent visit to the U.S., emphasizing the importance of communication and exchange amid tense cross-strait relations. Jiang Wan-an also mentioned that the dual-city forum has yielded 45 cooperation memoranda after 14 editions, and he intends to invite Shanghai representatives in accordance with the principles of equality, dignity, goodwill, and reciprocity.
